Summary
ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join their team in Anniston, AL. The role involves improving safe and reliable electric service delivery by managing vegetation around utility power lines.
About the Role
As a Consulting Utility Forester, you will act as a subject matter expert in utility vegetation management, inspect electric utility easements, coordinate with landowners to develop vegetation management plans, and ensure safety practices are followed by tree crews. You will also address customer concerns, assist with infrastructure upgrades, and perform quality assurance inspections on vegetation management work.
About You
Required:
- Ability to read maps.
- Ability to identify tree species and growth rates.
- Willingness to work alone outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, smartphones).
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- Direct experience in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Certification as an ISA Arborist, Registered Forester, or other related certificates/licenses.
- Prior GIS software/technology experience.
- Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
