Summary
Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a Contract Support Assistant to join their team in Herndon, VA. The role involves handling administrative tasks and transactions for USG acquisition officers in contracting offices throughout the Northern Virginia area.
About the Role
As a Contract Support Assistant, you will support the execution of administrative modifications to existing contracts, maintain contract files, perform data entry and retrieval, and assist in contract settlement and closeouts. You will also handle various administrative responsibilities such as maintaining the office calendar and ordering supplies.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- 1+ years of administrative support experience including developing correspondence and providing customer service.
- 1+ years' experience in contracts, administration, finance, or program administration.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of the contracts process.
- Attention to detail to minimize clerical errors.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Finance, Computer Science, or a related subject.
- DAWIA Level 1 or higher in Contracting or FAC-C Level 1 or higher certification.
- Experience with BASIS Acquisitions and COGNOS reports.
- One year of work experience with a government acquisition contracting process.
- Experience working with organizations in the Intelligence Community.
