Summary
Bedrock Robotics is seeking a Control Systems Architect to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The role involves advancing controls and simulation capabilities for autonomous systems on heavy construction machinery.
About the Role
As a Control Systems Architect, you will collaborate with a team to identify and model the dynamics of complex construction robots, develop onboard control laws, and build frameworks for offboard simulation and evaluation. You will also ensure compliance with safety requirements in the implementation of control laws.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of professional engineering or research experience in control and real-time embedded systems.
- Experience developing control laws for base vehicles and automated arms.
- MSc or PhD in Control, Robotics, or Computer Science.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Experience working on safety-critical systems.
- Ability to be onsite at the testing facility and SF office on a daily/weekly basis.
Preferred:
- Experience with Pose Estimation systems.
- Experience with ML training pipelines, especially reinforcement learning using learned or simulated plant models.
- Experience with CAN bus.
- Experience with Rust programming language.
