Jobot is seeking a Controller - Construction to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for a growing services business.
About the Role
As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. You will lead the monthly close process, ensure compliance with GAAP, and improve financial processes to support the company's growth. This position requires close collaboration with executive leadership to maintain financial integrity and operational efficiency across multiple locations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership/management experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting: GL, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
Preferred:
- Experience in a service-based, multi-location, or field services business.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and process automation.
- Proven track record of improving processes in a growing or complex environment.
