Golden Bear Insurance Company is seeking a Controller to join their team in Stockton, CA. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, treasury management, and supervising accounting staff.
About the Role
As a Controller, you will be responsible for complete and accurate financial reporting for both regulatory and management purposes. Your duties will include preparing financial updates for the Board, Management, Regulators, and Rating Agencies, as well as internal financial statements and external regulatory reports. You will manage treasury functions, conduct financial analysis, and oversee reinsurance reporting. Additionally, you will leverage accounting and production systems to improve efficiency and supervise a team of 4 accountants.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5 years of accounting experience
Knowledge of GAAP reporting and related accounting standards
Experience in Insurance Accounting and Regulatory Reporting
Preferred:
CPA certification
Experience in Treasury Management, Billing and Collections, and Budgeting
Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
