About the Role
As a Cook/Baker I, you will be responsible for cooking, baking, preparing, and portioning meals for jail residents and staff. You will supervise and train work crews, maintain inventory, ensure health and safety standards, and provide excellent customer service in a secure correctional environment.
About You
Required:
- Must be 21 years of age or older by the closing date of this announcement.
- Food Handler's Permit as issued by Seattle-King County Health Department.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
Preferred:
- Experience in large quantity food preparation for a minimum of 500 persons per meal.
- Knowledge of Washington State health and fire codes.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Food service work experience in an institutional, military, or corrections environment.
