Staunton Post Acute & Rehabilitation is seeking a Cook to join their Dietary team in Staunton, VA. The role involves preparing and overseeing the preparation of meals, supervising dietary functions, and contributing to the wellbeing of residents.
About the Role
As a Dietary Cook, you will assist in supervising dietary functions and personnel, prepare visually appealing and flavorful food, contribute to tray service and cleanliness duties, and maintain accurate records for seamless kitchen operations. You will also supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the manager and coordinate food and supply requirements for normal and special diets.
About You
Required:
High School diploma preferred, or the ability to read and write English effectively.
Proficient in preparing and cooking a variety of foods in larger quantities.
Preferred:
Previous culinary experience is a plus.
Knowledge of special diets, seasoning requirements, cooking times, and temperature controls.
