Summary
The American Lung Association is seeking a Coordinator, Health Promotions to join their Health Promotions & Education department in Chico, CA. The role involves coordinating, implementing, and evaluating lung health programs and tobacco prevention projects.
About the Role
As a Coordinator, Health Promotions, you will work with community members to build support for policy changes that reduce tobacco use. Your responsibilities will include conducting community needs assessments, engaging coalition members, creating presentations, developing educational materials, coordinating events, and maintaining relationships to advance smokefree policies in assigned communities.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in public health or related field preferred.
- Some experience in public health or related field.
- Experience in coalition building and community health development.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Strong project management skills to research, develop, and execute specific program deliverables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid Driver's license.
