Summary
Stellantis is seeking a Core / Methodology Engineer to join their team in Auburn Hills, MI. The role involves developing, testing, and validating propulsion system calibration processes to achieve world-class range, fuel economy, and drivability.
About the Role
As a Core / Methodology Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new calibration processes for both virtual and physical testing resources, collaborating with various Center of Excellence (CoE) teams, and optimizing calibration functions for new powertrain technologies such as ICE, xHEV, and BEV configurations. Your daily tasks will include supporting the construction of virtual models, providing expertise to correlate datasets, and ensuring best practices are followed.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines.
- Strong expertise in engine control strategies and complex optimization strategies.
- Data acquisition experience collecting and processing data.
- Working knowledge of engine analysis and calibration tools.
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with engine dynamometer measurement systems.
- Proficient in advanced simulation tools and Matlab / Simulink.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in engineering.
- Work experience in spark ignition engine controls and calibration.
- Work experience in automotive testing.
- Experience with Design of Experiments, Engine Modeling, or Artificial Neural Networks.
