About the Role
As a Correctional Teacher I, you will conduct classes in core academic areas tailored to meet the individual needs of incarcerated students. Your responsibilities will include planning courses of study, preparing and administering examinations, maintaining classroom discipline, and participating in staff meetings and development training. You will also be responsible for preparing reports on student progress and maintaining an inventory of educational materials.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Possession of a current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate.
Preferred:
Experience teaching in a correctional or alternative education setting.
Knowledge of instructional methods for students with specific individual needs.
