About the Role
As a Corrections Cadet, Sergeant, or Sergeant-Master, you will undergo a six-week Correctional Officer Training Academy and work closely with inmates. Responsibilities include supervising inmate housing areas, escorting prisoners, investigating suspicious activities, performing security searches, and following directives from higher-level officers. You will also receive firearms training and have opportunities for career progression within the department.
About You
Required:
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a current driver's license.
Preferred:
- One year of experience in any field.
- An Associate Degree or a Baccalaureate Degree in relevant fields such as Criminal Justice or Psychology.
