As a Corrections School Principal, you will evaluate inmate educational needs, implement comprehensive educational service programs, oversee staff, manage funds allocation, and submit an annual budget. You will also direct a facility school, manage educational records, participate in committees, and review inmate class attendance.
About You
Required:
- Four years of professional educational experience, including three years as a classroom teacher or education counselor in a public school, licensed private school, or an adult correctional education program approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
- Valid and active Administrative (Principal K-12), Administrative I (Principal K-12), or Administrative II (Principal K-12) certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education or eligibility for an Emergency Permit.
Preferred:
- Experience in managing educational programs in a correctional setting.
- Strong leadership skills and a genuine desire to maximize inmate educational opportunities.
