About the Role
As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you will supervise inmates and maintain security while operating and maintaining boiler equipment. Your responsibilities include generating medium-pressure steam for heating and hot water, monitoring auxiliary equipment, testing and maintaining boiler water, and ensuring an adequate inventory of water treatment chemicals. All work must be performed in accordance with safe operating procedures.
About You
Required:
- Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
