About the Role
As a Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activities such as inventory, labor, and costs of goods sold. You will investigate inventory count variances, ensure the accuracy of closing procedures, review costs for inaccuracies, prepare monthly journal entries, assist in month-end close, and provide management with reports on pricing and profitability factors.
About You
Required:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Manufacturing experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Ability to relate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
