About the Role
As a Counter Salesperson, you will confidently assist customers who purchase and/or pick up merchandise at the Profit Center. Your responsibilities will include accurately processing sales orders, attracting and retaining customers, providing reliable product information, and ensuring the counter area is clean and stocked. You will also communicate any changes in customer business that might affect credit risk and assist co-workers in servicing customers.
About You
Required:
- 1+ years' experience in customer service or counter sales; contractor sales preferred.
- Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center.
Preferred:
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service, verbal communication, and generous listening skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Ability to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment and hand tools.
