COUNTY OF LEHIGH is seeking a County Detective – Elder Abuse Task Force to join their team in Allentown, PA. The role involves conducting investigations related to elder abuse for the County's District Attorney's Office.
About the Role
As a County Detective, you will be responsible for initiating and conducting investigations, locating individuals, taking statements and evidence, and conducting background checks. You will work closely with law enforcement agencies and assist with open cases initiated by local police departments. Your duties will include preparing reports, visiting crime scenes, controlling evidence trails, and identifying and interviewing witnesses.
About You
Required:
Possession of Certification issued by the Municipal Police Officer Training Commission.
Experience in conducting criminal investigations.
Preferred:
Knowledge of elder abuse laws and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
