About the Role
As a Court Interpreter, you will be responsible for interpreting questions, testimony, and arguments in court proceedings, translating written materials, and assisting judges, attorneys, and court staff. You will work in a fast-paced courtroom environment, ensuring effective communication for all parties involved.
About You
Required:
- Possession of a valid certificate as a Certified Court Interpreter or registration as a Court Interpreter issued by the Judicial Council of California.
- A valid California Class 'C' driver’s license or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation.
Preferred:
- Experience in courtroom interpreting and familiarity with legal terminology.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to varying rates of speech and accents.
