Summary
Yuma County is seeking a Court Reporter to join their team in Yuma, AZ. The role involves making verbatim stenotype records of legal proceedings and producing accurate transcripts for the Superior Court.
About the Role
As a Court Reporter, you will attend court sessions to record spoken words using a stenograph machine, provide real-time reporting services, and produce official court transcripts. You will also maintain a working knowledge of courtroom practices, coordinate paperwork, and ensure the accuracy of transcripts while adhering to legal standards.
About You
Required:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from an accredited vocational/technical school in court reporting or Certification as a Registered Professional Reporter or designation as Certified Shorthand Reporter from the State of Arizona.
- Two years of freelance and/or official court reporting experience.
Preferred:- Knowledge of applicable State of Arizona statutes, rules, and legal terminology.
- Experience with Computer Aided Transcription (CAT) software.
