Summary
Westmoreland Community Action is seeking a part-time Crisis Worker 2 to provide telephone crisis intervention and mobile services to distressed residents in Westmoreland County.
About the Role
As a Crisis Worker 2, you will be responsible for providing crisis intervention services, maintaining a 24/7 call center presence, and traveling to respond to acute and emergency calls. You will assist individuals exhibiting acute behavioral problems and provide psycho-educational coaching, resource information, and referrals.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in sociology or related field, or a high school diploma with twelve semesters in sociology and one year of mental health direct care experience, or six years of experience providing mental health crisis intervention services.
- Direct experience in crisis intervention with the ability to assess and respond to crisis situations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary clearances.
Preferred:
- Proficiency with computer software.
- Ability and willingness to work various shifts.
