CHRISTUS Health is seeking a CST, Certified Surgical Technologist to join their team at the Ortho Spine Surgery Center in San Antonio, TX. The role involves performing technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients.

About the Role

As a CST, you will be responsible for preparing patient skin for surgery, maintaining aseptic techniques, providing comfort and support to pre-operative patients, transporting patients to and from the Operating Room, and preparing the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies. You will work under the direction of a professional nurse and assist during surgical procedures while ensuring a safe and sterile environment.

About You

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program.
BLS certification.
Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License.

Preferred:

2 or more years of experience in a surgical setting.
Ability to proficiently scrub in 3 specialty areas including Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, Robotics.
