About the Role
The CT Technologist will prepare patients by administering intravenous medications and contrast media, operate CT scanners by entering patient data and programming equipment, evaluate image quality, utilize radiation protection and infection control protocols, schedule and charge patients, facilitate physician and patient inquiries, explain exams and procedures, acquire patient history, and monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.
About You
Required:
- Completion of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Technology program.
- Current registration with ARRT, CAMRT, or NMTCB.
- Maintenance of continuing education credits per biennium, including at least 2 credits in CT.
- Documentation of at least 20 hours of training and experience in operating CT equipment, radiation physics, and radiation protection or advanced certification in computed tomography from ARRT.
- One year of work experience in general diagnostic radiology.
- Certification or re-certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform push/pull tasks requiring up to 35 lbs of force.
Preferred:
- ARRT(CT) certification or must obtain ARRT(CT) within one year of hire.
