Keeper is seeking a Founding AI Engineer to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing AI and machine learning models for a matchmaking platform.

About the Role

As a Founding AI Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing compatibility matching and personalized recommendations through AI models. Your tasks will include working with large datasets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting experiments to improve matching accuracy, and staying updated on advancements in machine learning and AI ethics.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in applied machine learning, AI, or data science, preferably in a consumer tech or online platform setting.
Strong proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and related machine learning libraries.
Experience with large-scale data processing tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or equivalent.
Proven experience in designing, training, and deploying machine learning models at scale.
Solid understanding of recommendation systems, predictive modeling, NLP, and deep learning techniques.
Experience with cloud-based AI/ML infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Passion for AI and its application in creating meaningful, long-lasting relationships.
Ability to work in-person in San Francisco, 5+ days a week.

Preferred:

Experience in the online dating or social networking industries.
Experience with A/B testing and model evaluation techniques.

Benefits

Base salary of $165k–$220k, with 1.5%–4% equity.
