About the Role
As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the facility, including cleaning assigned areas, restocking bathrooms, and performing minor repairs. You will follow daily checklists, ensure tools and supplies are stocked, and report any safety concerns to management. This position requires on-site work and may involve event setup and assisting maintenance teams.
About You
Required:
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance and background check.
- Experience cleaning high foot traffic areas and bathrooms, or similar building maintenance experience.
Preferred:
- High school diploma (or GED/High School Equivalence Certificate).
- Custodial or building maintenance experience in a shelter or a school setting.
- Ability to read and write instructions in English.
- Background in construction trades.
- Proven familiarity with homelessness and related issues.
