3M is seeking a Cyber Threat & Response Engineer (L3) to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves safeguarding the 3M enterprise against evolving cyber threats through proactive monitoring, investigation, and incident response.
About the Role
As a Cyber Threat & Response Engineer (L3), you will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, investigating suspicious activities, driving incident response, and collaborating with various teams to enhance cyber defense capabilities. You will utilize threat intelligence and analytics to improve detection and response strategies, while also contributing to continuous improvement of security processes.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or a High School diploma with four years of hands-on experience.
Five years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity operations role, with at least two years in a senior or L3 capacity.
Preferred:
Proficiency in analyzing alerts from SIEM, EDR, and network monitoring tools.
Familiarity with threat intelligence, advanced malware analysis, and log correlation techniques.
Ability to write and use scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and incident response tasks.
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or GCIH.
