Summary
Adapt Forward is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist – Identify & Protect to join their team in Charleston, SC. The role involves supporting the NIWC Cybersecurity Service Provider mission by executing Identify and Protect functions to ensure DoD TASKORD compliance and manage cybersecurity operations.
About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will ensure TASKORD compliance and escalate non-compliance, review ACAS metrics including vulnerabilities and patching, monitor ESS deployments such as Trellix Agent and Data Loss Prevention, integrate NADCOE assets into DAO scorecards, support CORA and ESM inspections, develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and documentation, coordinate remediation efforts, and track endpoint compliance and access-control metrics.
About You
Required:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active Secret clearance (TS Eligible)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of cybersecurity or IT risk-management experience
Preferred:
- Experience with Tenable, Active Directory, Splunk, or endpoint-protection platforms
- Experience working in government, DoD, or healthcare environments
- Experience with IAM tools, configuration management, and policy development
- Proficiency with asset-inventory and vulnerability/risk-management platforms
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
