About the Role
As a Data Center Technician, you will enable a new service line within Google Cloud, focusing on customer experience. Your responsibilities include supporting capacity deployment, installing and configuring hardware, performing maintenance, and contributing to documentation enhancement. The role requires up to 50% travel and the ability to work non-standard hours.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience with network protocols and diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer hardware, and server hardware.
- Experience with assembly of mechanical or electrical systems, or performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
- Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph.
- Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and exert physically over extended periods.
Preferred:
- Experience collaborating and partnering with teams.
- Experience with networking protocols and performing component-level repairs on IT equipment.
