Summary
CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Business Intelligence team in Boston, MA. The role focuses on supporting a rapidly growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform for federal customers.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing data pipelines, collaborating within an Agile/Scrum team, ensuring data extraction performance, and supporting continuous process automation. You will advocate for lean-agile engineering principles and work with cross-functional teams to implement complex requirements.
About You
Required:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- 7+ years of IT experience including experience in design, management, and solutioning of large, complex data sets and models.
- Experience with developing data pipelines from structured and unstructured data sets.
- Proficiency in developing ETL processes and performing test and validation steps.
- Proficiency in data manipulation using Python, R, SQL, or SAS.
- Strong knowledge of big data analysis and storage tools.
- Strong understanding of agile principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.
- Comfortable working in version control systems like Git.
Preferred:
- Experience creating and consuming APIs.
- Experience with DHS and knowledge of DHS standards.
- Extensive experience with Python.
- Ability to develop visualizations using Tableau or PowerBI.
- Experience in developing Shell scripts on Linux.
- Demonstrated experience translating business and technical requirements into data strategies.
