About the Role

As a Data Management Specialist, you will manage Janelia's Figshare and Protocols.io accounts, assist users with data sharing, and support researchers in best practices for data management and open science. You will perform outreach, teach, and advise researchers on data dissemination, guide data-sharing plans, and ensure compliance with data-sharing restrictions. Additionally, you will lead data retention and archiving efforts and develop training programs for data management.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience, master's degree with 3-5 years' experience, or PhD with 2 years' experience.
At least two years of library, information technology, informatics, and/or scientific research experience.

Preferred:

Experience in biological, computational research, or imaging.
Working knowledge of data science/statistical/computational tools such as Python, R, Jupyter, MATLAB, JSON, or SQL.
