Leidos is seeking a Data Scientist to join their National Security Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area in McLean, VA. The role involves supporting a fast-paced data science team working on projects critical to National Security.

About the Role

As a Data Scientist, you will build statistical and machine learning models, conduct natural language processing (NLP), and develop automated solutions for complex business challenges. You will construct and execute complex database search queries using SQL and API interfaces, perform web scraping, and apply techniques for processing unstructured data. You will leverage automation and machine learning to manage data, predict scenarios, and make data-driven recommendations, while learning and leveraging technologies including AWS and Git.

About You

Required:

TS/SCI with Polygraph.
BS degree with 8–12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6–10 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with Python.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and APIs for data extraction.
Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and natural language processing (NLP).
Familiarity with NLP libraries and tools (e.g., spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, or TensorFlow).
Experience with frequentist statistics, probability, and predictive modeling.
