Summary
Northwest Partners is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join their team in Wooster, OH. The role involves creating and implementing fully functional databases and collaborating with software development and infrastructure teams.
About the Role
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for optimizing databases for high performance, planning for capacity and scalability, enforcing security policies, and developing backup and recovery strategies. You will also mentor team members, contribute to data architecture initiatives, and assist with AWS and Power BI projects.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience with SQL Server database administration in a production environment.
- Strong performance tuning and monitoring expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and database security principles.
Preferred:
- Experience with database design tools and modeling (ER and Dimensional).
- Familiarity with Data Warehouse design and ETL tools/processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft SQL Server certification is encouraged.
