Cowlitz Family Health Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team in Ocean Park, WA. The role involves assisting dental providers in delivering health care to clinic patients and ensuring a positive patient experience.
About the Role
As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for rooming patients, taking histories and vitals, recording patient information, assisting with examinations and procedures, and following up with patients. You will develop respectful, professional relationships with patients to improve their overall health and quality of life, while working at the top of your license in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
About You
Required:
- Valid, unrestricted WA Dental Assisting Registration.
- BLS/CPR certification required within 3-6 months of hire.
- High school diploma plus completion of a minimum of one academic year of post-secondary education in a dental assisting program from an accredited institution.
Preferred:
- 1-4 years of previous work experience as a dental assistant.
- Proficient in dental terminology and dental office procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn in-house programs, including EHR system.
- Knowledge of dental electronic health records and conventional and digital radiography.
- Ability to work with a low-income, multi-ethnic patient population.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
