Summary
Northern Valley Indian Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team in Willows, CA. The role involves supporting dental procedures and ensuring efficient patient care.
About the Role
As a Dental Assistant, you will function as a circulating assistant in chairside dental procedures, working closely with dentists and other dental staff. Your responsibilities will include performing various dental assisting duties, maintaining infection control, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and instructing patients in oral hygiene. You may also be required to travel between different sites to fill staffing shortages.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, GED.
- Completion of NVIH sponsored 8-hour Infection Control Course within 90 days of start.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maintain radiation safety certification or complete an approved radiation safety course within the Introductory Period.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with dental terminology, materials, medications, and instruments used during dental procedures.
- Knowledge of patient scheduling procedures.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
