About the Role
As a Dental Scheduling Coordinator, you will be responsible for answering inbound calls to schedule, reschedule, or confirm patient appointments, making outbound calls to patients, using Open Dental Software for scheduling, collecting patient information, applying dental codes for insurance coordination, and maintaining communication with both patients and staff. You will also learn new office technologies and work both independently and as part of a team.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED certificate.
- A commitment to confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Ability to type 45 words per minute.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing job duties and work schedules.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with patients and the team.
- Effective verbal communication and listening skills.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Strong communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Comfortability with technology and computer software.
