About the Role
As a Deposit Fraud Strategy - Data Scientist, you will independently perform data analytics using structured and unstructured data, produce data visualizations, and engage with stakeholders to identify business objectives. You will also write and deploy custom code for predictive analytics applications and advocate for the adoption of emerging data science methods.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and zero to four years of experience in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Understanding of statistical methods including classical statistics, probability theory, econometrics, and time-series.
- Familiarity with linear algebra concepts and working knowledge of calculus/differential equations.
- Experience with data extraction in environments like SQL and familiarity with Hadoop, Pig, Hive, and/or NoSQL.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
- Four years of relevant work experience if candidate lacks a graduate degree.
- Previous experience in the banking or fin-tech industry.
