WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Deputy Construction Manager to join their team, with the potential to work out of various US offices including Chicago, IL. The role involves providing construction and technical direction on building and facilities construction projects.
About the Role
As a Deputy Construction Manager, you will support the Project Manager in tendering works, manage construction projects upon contract award, coordinate with contractors, monitor budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will also document project progress, manage change orders, and interface with clients, ensuring successful project completion on time and within budget.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or related disciplines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, MS Project.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and knowledge of environmental, safety, and health regulatory compliance.
Preferred:
- Experience with Blue-Beam, AutoCAD, and project management software such as Procore.
- Experience working with technical disciplines and managing light industrial or commercial projects.
