Long Ridge Partners is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to join their team in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The role involves advising on legal issues related to real estate investment activities and overseeing legal aspects of the real estate lending business.
About the Role
As the Deputy General Counsel, Real Estate Credit, you will oversee all legal aspects of the real estate lending business, including loan originations and regulatory compliance. You will manage transaction processes, negotiate loan documents, and facilitate the formation of new financial instruments. Additionally, you will serve as the primary legal counsel for the C-Suite, providing guidance on legal matters and supporting fundraising efforts.
About You
Required:
- JD and an outstanding record of achievement from a top-tier law school.
- Member of the NY Bar.
- 8-15 years of experience at a Real Estate Finance practice in BigLaw and experience in-house at a Blue Chip Credit Lender.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

- Gravitas, maturity, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with non-legal professionals.
- Adaptability and willingness to grow and learn.
- Strong business acumen.
