Summary
Compucom Staffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team onsite in McAllen, TX. The role involves providing end-user support, including repairing and troubleshooting hardware and software.
About the Role
As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, testing, imaging, and cleaning PCs, laptops, monitors, and printers. You will maintain and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals, set up and configure hardware, and assist in large IMAC events for printer migration and PC refreshes. The role requires face-to-face interactions with end users, ensuring all support tickets are addressed, and assisting in process improvements.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 6 months to 2+ years of experience supporting PC hardware and software.
- Deep understanding of diagnosing and troubleshooting PC/laptop hardware and software issues.
Preferred:
- Experience with asset management.
- Working experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office 365, Win10 Professional).
- Experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics.
