About the Role
As a Detailer & Buffer, you will be responsible for washing, detailing, and buffing cranes, trucks, and other construction equipment. You will use power tools, waxes, cleaning solvents, and protective coatings to restore and protect metal surfaces. Your duties will include wet sanding to remove scratches, buffing dull areas, and keeping the shop area neat and organized while following safety procedures. You may also assist in prepping metal surfaces for painting and perform other assigned tasks.
About You
Required:
- Knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures in detailing and buffing operations.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on heavy construction equipment.
- Comfortable working with/on ladders and at various heights.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience with detailing and buffing.
- Ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
