NetApp Instaclustr is seeking a Developer Advocate to join their Developer Relations team in the United States. The role focuses on creating engaging technical content and fostering a vibrant developer community around the NetApp Instaclustr platform.
About the Role
As a Developer Advocate, you will create high-quality technical content including blog posts, videos, and conference presentations. You will develop demos, workshops, code samples, and guides to improve developer skills and experience on the platform. The role involves engaging with developer communities on social media and open source forums, building credibility as a trusted technical peer, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and identifying new channels to reach developers.
About You
Required:
Strong understanding of Apache Cassandra with hands-on experience.
2+ years of professional experience in software development, data engineering, developer advocacy, or technical marketing.
Experience creating engaging technical content for platforms like YouTube, including video presentation and basic editing skills.
Basic experience with AWS and/or Azure.
Familiarity with version control using GitHub.
Clear written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently while seeking guidance on complex issues.
Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
Based in the US.
Preferred:
Experience with Apache Kafka, OpenSearch, Postgres, or Cadence.
Strong interest or experience in technical writing, blogging, or creating educational content.
