Summary
Hillel International is seeking a Development and Communications Director to join their team in Isla Vista, CA. The role involves directing a multi-pronged institutional advancement strategy to enhance the experience of students at UC Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara City College.
About the Role
As the Development and Communications Director, you will oversee the annual fundraising campaign, manage major gifts and grassroots fundraising, handle community-facing communications, and organize fundraising events. You will work closely with the Executive Director and engage with donors, stakeholders, and the community to foster relationships and support for Hillel's mission.
About You
Required:
- Experience in fundraising, public relations, and/or event management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CRM and data management.
Preferred:
- Experience working in higher education and/or the Jewish community.
- Experience with fundraising campaigns, one-on-one solicitation, and/or grant writing.
- Supervisory experience, including the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
