Summary
Qcells North America is seeking a Development Lead, Energy Services Platform to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The role involves executing the strategy and delivery of the Energy Services platform, focusing on development, launch, and operational management.
About the Role
As a Development Lead, you will oversee the design, development, and evolution of core platforms while managing legacy systems. You will lead the end-to-end development of platform architecture, services, and integrations, guide a team of developers, and ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. Your responsibilities will include managing legacy systems, collaborating with product managers, and driving platform improvements.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information systems, computer science, engineering or related fields.
- 7-10 years of work experience in platform or software development with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in backend frameworks, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), microservices, and APIs.
- Hands-on experience managing, integrating, and migrating legacy systems.
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience in the solar or clean energy industry.
- 5+ years of product development/management experience, especially around customer/partner facing products under Salesforce/Microsoft environment.
- Proficiency in development tools like GitHub/Gitlab/Jira/confluence/AWS/Azure/Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform.
- Experience with modern backend languages and frameworks, Testing & QA, Database & tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a structured and data-driven approach.
- Experience working with global or cross-cultural teams.
- Experience in ERP, CRM, Cloud or enterprise system building.
