hatch I.T. is partnering with VIA to hire a DevOps Specialist in Somerville, MA. The role focuses on driving deployment, support, and security of VIA's Web3 data and identity protection solutions.
About the Role
The DevOps Specialist will own key components of VIA's deployment pipeline and operational infrastructure, enhancing deployment processes through automation and best practices. Responsibilities include supporting network security configuration, optimizing system integration, maintaining internal tools, setting up logging and monitoring frameworks, supporting deployment activities, troubleshooting, documenting procedures, delivering CI/CD training, securing blockchain and machine learning applications, building testing pipelines, ensuring smooth software deployment across cloud platforms, collaborating with technical teams, and automating software setup on customer cloud platforms.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant DevOps experience.
- In-depth experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud service providers.
- Proficiency in application deployment tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker.
- Experience with configuration and monitoring tools like system logs, Kibana, Grafana.
- Deep technical understanding of IT infrastructure integration, Unix/Linux systems, TCP/IP behavior, and application data flows.
- Experience managing network infrastructure, protocols, troubleshooting, and security including firewalls, security groups, OS/container hardening, and penetration testing.
- Proficiency in Python and shell scripting languages.
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple development cycles and build strong stakeholder relationships with excellent communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience deploying blockchain nodes, such as configuring Ethereum miners.
- Knowledge of application orchestration.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies like Istio.
- Experience managing IoT devices within Operational Technology systems.
