About the Role
As a Diabetes Educator, you will provide one-on-one education sessions to diabetic patients, assist in developing core curriculum and patient materials, and monitor patient progress. You will use various teaching strategies to ensure that education is tailored to individual needs and cultural values, and you will develop individualized care plans based on assessed needs and goals.
About You
Required:
- Experience working in an ADCES Accredited Diabetes Education Program providing one-on-one diabetes and nutrition education.
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM).
Preferred:
- Experience in developing educational materials and curriculum for diabetes education.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
