About the Role
As a Diesel and Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs on vehicles and equipment, and ensuring compliance with Federal DOT and State BIT regulations. Your tasks will include conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and utilizing welding and fabrication skills as needed. You will also work closely with other departments and vendors to ensure efficient operations and maintenance of the fleet.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal technical training in medium/heavy-duty diesel/unleaded vehicles and equipment mechanics.
- 2+ years heavy-duty diesel truck and equipment or automotive repair experience.
- Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, suspension, electrical, air brake, and hydraulic system troubleshooting.
- Must have own tools.
Preferred:
- Minor welding and fabrication skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage starting at $35+ depending on experience.
- Full-time schedule from Wednesday to Saturday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
