NewCourtland is seeking a Dietary Supervisor for the Philadelphia Senior Center on the Avenue of the Arts. The role involves supervising kitchen staff and overseeing all aspects of food service operations.
About the Role
As a Dietary Supervisor, you will be responsible for menu planning, record-keeping, budgeting, staff training, and meal service oversight. You will ensure compliance with health codes, maintain inventory, and uphold sanitation and safety standards. This hands-on role may also require cooking as needed.
About You
Required:
- ServSafe Certification (Manager & Handler) required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food service management (healthcare, restaurant, or institutional setting).
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Ability to supervise and train staff and volunteers.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently with good judgment.
Preferred:
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
- Familiarity with geriatric nutrition and senior services.
