Hidden Level is seeking a Digital Hardware Engineer to join their team in Syracuse, NY. The role involves leading the design of custom hardware and firmware for advanced sensor and communication systems.
About the Role
As a Digital Hardware Engineer, you will design and implement custom multi-layer circuit cards, maintain component libraries, perform functional tests and verification for new hardware, and design HDL solutions for Xilinx FPGAs. You will also automate workflows using scripting languages like Python and Bash, while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years related professional experience.
- Understanding of digital and analog circuits.
- Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog to configure FPGAs and other embedded systems.
Preferred:
- Experience testing and validating analog and digital hardware using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Experience with modern Xilinx FPGAs and the Vivado design environment.
- Experience with Communication and Sensor systems, Digital Signal Processing, Software Defined Radios, and RF System Design.
- Experience with Matlab, Python, Linux.
