Summary
XDIN is seeking a Digital Surface Modeler to join their team in Greensboro, NC. The role involves creating complex and high-quality digital automotive surfaces from early concept to production Class-A level.
About the Role
As a Digital Surface Modeler, you will be responsible for interpreting 2D sketches and renderings into 3D surfaces, collaborating closely with exterior and interior design staff, and working with engineering and packaging engineers to ensure feasibility criteria are met. You will be expected to produce high-quality digital automotive surfaces and thrive in a high-pressure environment with quick turn-around times.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 6 months working in or for an OEM automotive design studio.
- A portfolio is a MUST.
- BS, BA or MFA degree in design, engineering or transportation-related.
- High proficiency in Alias, ICEM Surf or equivalent surfacing program.
- Proficiency in VRED, Keyshot or equivalent rendering program.
- Understanding of production automotive development and procedures.
- Intuitive feeling and passion for automotive design.
- Proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment with quick turn-around.
- Forward, innovative thinking for future vehicles.
