About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for delivering individualized care, teaching daily living skills such as cooking, hygiene, and social skills, and providing support during community activities. You will also act as a mentor to encourage independence and ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals you support.
About You
Required:
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (IDD) exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Trauma-informed care experience.
- Mental health experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid PA driver's license and 2 years of driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to read, speak, and write English.
Preferred:
- Health care experience.
- Experience in emergency physical safety interventions.
- Flexibility in scheduling.
