About You
- High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- At least two years of experience working with persons who have a developmental disability in a group setting.
- One year of experience in supervising and managing residential programs.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited school in a human services field.
SJCS is different from other agencies. We decided in the 1990s to tear down the walls and provide services for people with disabilities where they can learn and grow the best–right in their own communities. Our person-centered supports meets the unique needs of each individual who comes through our doors, helping them to achieve all of their goals and dreams. We are committed to self-direction, full citizenship, advocacy and equal rights for people living with disabilities and individuals and families experiencing homelessness. SJCS has driven social change for more than 150 years through the development of litigation, legislation, training, technical assistance as well as through direct services. Based in Washington, D.C., SJCS provides support and services to vulnerable people in New York, Virginia, D.C., Tennessee and Delaware.
