About the Role
As a Community Support Assistant, you will support one to four individuals living in a suburban or rural community. Your responsibilities will include fostering personal growth and autonomy, facilitating opportunities for meaningful relationships, and ensuring that each person's life choices are respected. You will also be required to complete all necessary trainings to meet the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience supporting people with disabilities.
- Valid Maryland Driver's License with no egregious violations.
Preferred:
- Experience providing respectful, person-centered support.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust.
- Comfortable using technology, including email and documentation systems like iCM.
